I no longer remember very clearly what I was feeling at the time of the “Reminiscences.” I only remember that I was drawing a lot — swollen, organic, sensual, very colorful forms. I would empty myself and let my pencil move freely across the paper; I painted in the same way. I worked with great enthusiasm for two years and didn't know what to call this series. One day, opening a dictionary, I took a pencil, closed my eyes, and pointed at random. When I opened them, I had landed on “reminiscence.”.
